10 Years of Outlook Festival Live In Croatia

2017 marks the 10th anniversary of Outlook Festival and to mark a decade of soundsystem culture Outlook organisers have lined up Dizzee Rascal, Giggs, Goldie, AJ Tracey, General Levy and Pharoahe Monch for this years celebrations.

Having started life as a 600 person convoy in Croatia, Outlook has since grown to become the highlight in an evermore saturated festival season, welcoming ravers from across the UK and mainland Europe with the best in Dub, Reggae, Hip-Hop and Grime.

The traditional Outlook Festival opening concert in Pula’s historic amphitheatre will see Dizzee Rascal perform tracks from his upcoming album. DJ Shadow and the newly formed 20 piece Outlook Orchestra all complete opening duties as Outlook gets underway. Tickets for the opening concert will need to be purchased separately.

A heady blend of old and new, Outlook thrives on bringing all the elements of bass music heritage together and their 10th anniversary is no different, with more than 100 artists planned for this year’s event there’s bound to be something for everyone: Wiley, Giggs, Newham Generals (D Double E and Footsie) will be shelling as the Grime contingent alongside revered producers Champion, Spooky and Sir Spyro.

Swindle brings his typically jazz influenced beats while elsewhere Outlook’s Dub and Reggae roots will be represented by Dawn Penn, Soom T and Eva Lazarus. Drum’n’Bass heavyweight Goldie will be in attendance this year alongside LTJ Bukem – making sure the entire bass spectrum is covered.

As for this year’s Hip-Hop contingent Stones Throw affiliate and Anderson Paak producer MNDSGN plays an Outlook debut, with label mate Jonwayne also set to perform. UK hip hop comes from Mr Thing, Children of Zeus, Jehst, and The Mouse Outfit as well as soulful spoken word from Akala, and a huge High Focus Records take over featuring Fliptrix, Dirty Dike, Ed Scissor, Molotov & DJ Sammy B-Side.
