Five for Friday: Stormzy, Conducta, Fredo & More

Count your blessings and take time for all those small victories – 2018 is on the horizon.

This week is all about vibes and reflection, yes, it is the party season; no, that doesn’t mean wile out and forget about self care. Sneakbo, Conducta and Not3s all come through this week with the party vibes but Stormzy and Ebenezer bring the balance because the party season is no excuse to mask anxities or depression with cocktails and christmas jumpers. Count your blessings and take time for all those small victories – 2018 is on the horizon.

Sneakbo ft Not3s – Nah

Sneakbo teams up with Not3s to tell that classic tale of tables turning. Fame and power can bring plenty of benefits, and you know how it goes, one minute you’re invisible and the next you’re surrounded. Not3s brings it home, continuing to solidify his reputation as one of the UK’s most consistent hook makers of the year, while Sneakbo lays it out straight with his girls in all corners of the capital.

Stormzy – Blinded By Your Grace Pt.2 ft MNEK

Stormzy rounds off what has undoubtedly been a year of historic personal achievements (far too numerous by now to list here) with the new video for ‘Blinded By Your Grace Pt.2’. At a time in the year where people are taking stock of their successes and planning out their next steps for the year ahead, Stormzy gathers a crowd for a spiritual moment of reflection and gratitude.

Conducta ft Coco, Big Zuu X Mina Rose – Wanna Go

A perfect trifecta of verses that reflect sounds of the UK scene, Bristol’s Conducta takes the helm to produce a multi-feature UKG single with a soulful flavour courtesy of Mina Rose, and grime bars from Sheffield’s COCO and MTP’s Big Zuu. Bringing the wave full force in typical Conducta fashion it’s a win, win, win, with Coco, Big Zuu and Mina Rose serving vibes and pulling an all-nighter because after the party there’s always the after-party.

Fredo & Not3s – YRF

Doing their most earnest Diddy and Mase impression Fredo and Not3s turn up for an East17 meets Atlanta strip club video hybrid. Hoods up and arses out, its the Young Rich and Famous dream, directed by Jay Parpworth the ‘YRF’ deep bass produced by GA has surely been made to cut through the winter blues.

Ebenezer – F**k It

North London’s Ebenezer comes back with an introspective look at his own mortality, on his new track ‘F**k It’, Ebenezer faces his anxieties and depression; trying to stay afloat in a wave of emotions, this is the song where he finally stops fighting.

“I stopped caring about being judged which stopped me from living, from chasing my dreams and from being unapologetically me.”  Ebenezer says of the new track, “All I ever wanted to do was release music and share my story with the world, but suffering from anxiety made it extremely difficult but now…I’m like fuck it, pun intended.”
