A$AP Ferg Drops ‘Always Strive & Prosper’ Album

The self-descried Trap Lord,  A$AP Ferg drops his second album, with features from ScHoolboy Q, Future, Missy Elliot, Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign and many, many more.

It’s been almost three years since A$AP Ferg’s debut album ‘Trap Lord’ which earned the Harlem rapper a top 10 on the Billboard 200. In the hotly anticipated, aptly titled second album ‘Always Strive And Prosper’ A$AP Ferg links up with plenty of artists for a full blown hip-hop affair. With his scattershot-style, and ability to switch flows and styles both within a song and within an entire project, A$AP Ferg has seamlessly created his high energy Tasmanian Devil style of rap.

‘Always Strive And Prosper’  has so many exciting features it was hard for me to contain myself when I saw the track listing. With Missy Elliot featuring on the third track, ‘Strive’, which sees A$AP Ferg chart his past, including a stint working at Ben & Jerry’s. Then he’s got tunes with TDE’s ScHoolboy Q, Future, Rick Ross, A$AP Mob, Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign and Chris Brown. Literally the features on this are insane, it’s a whole hip-hop party. The album is also peppered with these skits too which are further insight into the crazy world, and mind of Ferg.

The album artwork is pretty cool too. It’s minimalistic in design, with Ferg covering his eyes, paired with a giant rings on his fingers. Melanin is on fleek in this with Ferg standing out against the white background.

Feng describes the album as: “This album is by far the best work I’ve created and showcases my versatility and taste in the music that I love,” states Ferg. “The mission for this album is for my fans to get a deeper look into my life; to know my origin, my family and the obstacles I’ve faced while growing up.  More importantly, I want to encourage people to always strive and prosper because if an inner city kid can make it then they can as well.
