Are you Down With Saba On A ‘Timezone/Whip’
Hot off his feature with Chance the Rapper on ‘Angels, Saba is drawing his ‘ComfortZone’ project to a close, releasing the visuals for ‘Timezone/Whip’ – two of the fans favourite tracks from the project.
The hotly tipped Chicago rapper and Pivot Gang artist Saba released his ComfortZone EP last year, a 14 track project that was catchy, mellow and so impressive that it fuelled his journey into 2015. Since ‘ComfortZone’, Saba has collaborated with fellow Chicagoan Chance the Rapper, The Social Experiment and Noname Gypsy, as well as touring the U.S.
The visuals for ‘Timezone/Whip’ take inspiration from Lupe Fiasco’s 2006 Food and Liquor album. It blends both stand-out tracks into a singular vibezy set of visuals. The video is crisp and features these gravity-less shots of Saba floating – basking in the vibes. What makes the visuals so great is that if you are new to Saba, the track is a year old, but sounds as current as ever. ‘Timezone’ is a timeless track, listening to it again it sounds as fresh as it first did. Not many artists are able to do that so early on in their career.
I’ve got a feeling there’s going to be some fresh new music from Saba very soon, but whilst we wait that, enter the gravity-free world of Saba with ‘Timezone/Whip’ and if you’re yet to listen to ‘ComfortZone’, check it out below;
