Baauer Got His ‘Day Ones’ Novelist & Leikeli47 On Track

Four years after “Harlem Shake,” Baauer is keen to forget the “happy accident” that put his name on the world stage but eventually “became corny and annoying as fuck” for him, according to Rolling Stone.

Taking to a different stage to debut his new single “Day Ones” on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert alongside Leikeli47, Baauer is looking to shake things up in a different way. The new banger pounds harder than ever, but it’s also a sign of the weirder shit to come. Announcing his debut studio album Aa (pronounced “double a”) with features from Novelist and Leikeli47 on ‘Day Ones’, M.I.A on the recently previewed ‘Temple’, plus Future, Pusha T, Rustie, and more, the trap laced, hardcore industrial soundscape of Baauer is set to ‘scream’.

Till the album drops, the only shots fired are from a marching band from the revolutionary war in the new video, directed by Hiro Murai, which features both Novelist perched on the roof of a car and Leikeli47 in her signature black ski mask.

Aa follows on from the 2014 four-track EP, ß, which featured the single, “One Touch,” featuring AlunaGeorge and Rae Sremmurd and is due to drop in March 2016.
