Making their Coachella debut in Palm Springs today, Snakehips are basking in their moment in the sun with the release of their EP ‘Money On Me’ EP featuring Anderson .Paak, Malika & Tory Lanez – and damn we’re hooked.
Hot off their Top 5 global hit ‘All My Friends’, the UK’s own groove in a beat duo Snakehips aka James Carter and Oliver Lee dropped another good one with Anderson .Paak with ‘Money On Me’ and pretty much nailed that follow up that’s guaranteed their trajectory well past a one hit smash. This new EP brings the focus firmly on their beat craft that takes dose’s of electronic beats with quips of a laid-back groove and smooth R&B flexes and pushes their collaborative flair to the perfect pitch. We’ve already got the brand new EP ‘Money On Me’ on repeat, and Snakehips really did work on a good one, letting it go just right with Malika, Tory and Anderson adding already strong features to their Top 5 kudos worthy collaboration with Chance the Rapper and Tinashe.
On ‘Falling’ Snakehips take it up a pitch in-step with Malika’s captivating vocals, and have us feeling that perfect 90’s groove on a single that has us reminded of that Zhane/Sunshine Anderson type of feeling but somehow we haven’t heard it all before.
