Bonded Present The UK Screening of ‘Dream, Girl’

It’s time we stop telling girls they can be anything they want to be and actually show them what it means to be a leader.

We’re very excited to present the second event in our Bonded series at The Hoxton, Shoreditch to host an intimate screening of Dream, Girl, a film documentary that follows the paths of five female entrepreneurs as they go from managing brand new start-ups to million dollar industries.

Bonded will be hosting an intimate screening of Dream, Girl – the film documentary which tells the stories of amazing females entrepreneurs to inspire the next generation of leaders. ‘Dream, Girl’ was presented at a private screening at The White House, and the producer and filmmaker, Erin Bagwell and Komal Minas, have gone on to be honored by the Oprah Winfrey Network in the inaugural SuperSoul 100 list. Huffington Post named Dream, Girl the number one “Feminist Film To Watch” and Upworthy called it “the film every little girl (and grown-up girl, too) should see.”

“The film every little girl (and grown-up girl, too) should see.”

‘Dream, Girl’ shares the experiences of female founders and entrepreneurs; from being underestimated by their male counterparts; to getting the courage to take the leap and quit their nine-to-fives; to funding and financing their start – ups; and taking a break from their careers to focus on their families. Each woman has an authentic story unique to her individual experience, yet we learn our stories are interconnected in ways that uplift us all, in business and in life.

Beginning as a Kickstarter campaign to make Dream, Girl, Erin Bagwell, producer and director, raised over $100,000 in 30 days, and enlisted an all- female crew to create a film highlighting the power of the female economy. “There’s no holding back anymore, women are starting 1200 new businesses everyday, and it’s time we bring their stories to the mainstream” said Komal Minhas, producer and distributor of Dream, Girl.

“From self-sabotage to raising money, we speak about the emotional and practical journey of starting a business. The film was crafted as we embarked on our own startup experience, building our own production and distribution company to uplift our mission and impact,” said Erin Bagwell.

If that ain’t Girl Power we don’t know what is!
