Catch Some Slow Waves With Louis Mattrs

After two noticeably worthy previews and a remix from BMB Spacekid of ‘Superman‘, Louis Mattrs has got us catching some waves with the complete 5 track selection off his new EP: ‘Slow Waves’.

Louis Mattrs is every much the product of his Brighton coastal sensibilities, combining that beachy vibe with the trappings of a thriving music scene. With Nick Cave and Norman Cook as its renowned residents, Louis Mattrs is more about the late after-hours moments, writing that sultry narrative into his music while producing and wholeheartedly performing his own tracks.“I produced some of the tracks and also got to work with two really sick new vocalists in Lucki Eck$ from Chicago and Lauren Faith.

Louis caught his first break on the Chase & Status’ 2013 smash “Lost & Not Found”, following up swiftly with his ‘Beachy Head EP’ in 2014. As 2015 comes to a close, Mattr’s is heading into 2016 tipped as one of the next ones to catch a wave.

‘The Slow Waves EP’, features guest features from Chicago’s rising rapper Lucki Eck$, and singer/songwriter LK Faith. The Cadenza produced cut ‘White Girl Wasted‘ depicts that longing to be intoxicated by love, lust and desire, shaped into a hazy dream of ethereal melody and heavy tinged bass.

Cementing himself as next up for 2016, the ‘Slow Waves EP’ is perfectly placed to hit that cuffing season playlist selection.
