DJ Khaled And Future Go To Win On Kimmel
We’ve certainly moved on from the days when David Bowie had to confront MTV execs about their less than stellar support of Black artists on the music channel. Today it’s safe to say that in the U.S, the late night TV generation can’t get enough of watching the biggest Hip-Hop artists of our time take to the stage and rock the crowd.
Watching The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and seeing The Roots, as the house band for the most influential TV show in late night is pretty much standard now. Fact is between Colbert, Kimmel and Fallon, the suits are letting the audience do the talking as they trade in Hip-Hop currency.
Although his 8th album ‘I Changed Alot’ has been a little less than large by numbers, DJ Khaled has taken to social media sweeping over Snapchat in his wake and dominating the internets with a major personality refix. So what better time to bring it right back to the music, as Khaled went in to win with a medley on Jimmy Kimmel last night bringing on Future and kicking off with ‘All I Do Is Win,’ to Futures ‘I Don’t Play About My Paper’ into their collab ‘You’re Mine‘, and to take it out with ‘Jumpman.’ With a little lip syncing aside from Future, watch above – you know you just have to.
