We are halfway through February already, yet it feels like we have seen announcements for several upcoming music festivals this year. As the outside world continues to open up and get back to some sense of normality, music fans everywhere are already mapping out destinations for concerts and festivals alike. The rising global experience collective Days Like This have taken the black party experience in London to another level, becoming a sought-after household name within the Black community. Six years after launching with their first day party, the brand are going international (again) with the announcement of DLT: Malta; an incredible four-day experience that marks a new era.
Taking place on June 16th – 20th, DLT will take their brand to the Mediterranean for the first time ever. Headlining the festivities is Grammy award-winning DJ and producer KAYTRANADA, a big feat for the DLT brand to pull off in Phase One of their announcement. Other artists scheduled to perform in Malta include dancehall sensation Shenseea, Buju, Boj, Lojay, rising Afrobeats star Rema and singer-songwriter Omah Lay. With this early line-up looking promising, we can see the level of curation that has gone into the musical side of things. The beautiful island of Malta will make the perfect backdrop for the ‘DLT vibe’ that should provide a totally different experience to their previous brunches in Ibiza, Ghana and Nigeria.
With a crowd of over 3,000 people expected to attend, DLT: Malta will be one for the books and will surely set a new precedent for taking Black British experiences overseas. We are certainly looking forward to the experience at Nation of Billions.
