Dope Drop: 8 Moncler x Palm Angels line
LA-Based Palm Angels and renowned brand Moncler have linked up again on a new collection, released this month. The result? An undeniably fire collab.
“8 Moncler Palm Angels line” makes number eight of Moncler Genius projects, which has included Craig Green and Valentino’s Pierpaolo Piccioli. Number 8, is a play on contrasts of materials and tones, and “playing with logos and slogans to spread the message virally”.
This is definitely a vibe for those who want to stand out. The collection includes an array of reworked jackets and tees that still keep to the Moncler essence. Difference is, now it includes over-sized Moncler logos, then spray painted in red with “Palm Angels”. The puffer jackets and vest include Moncler’s traditional nylon touch for a mirrored, metallic-patent look.
Also, white airbrushed hoodies and a collage jacket inspired by vintage counterculture references. A dope hint of purple is used on a lot of the collection, from the tracksuit in Palm Angels signature-style to the already sold-out “Tim” jacket. Don’t get it twisted, Tim is definitely something a Tina could rock too.
Moncler x Palm Angels already has love from the likes of DJ and style maverick Siobhann Bell and Fredo, who also attended the launch in London. And it’s definitely one you can flex with in the unpredictable weather.
