Drake Sets The Tone With ‘Summer Sixteen’

It’s nothing personal or is it when it comes to Drake, tonight he just hit em all with a hardline and went all in with the world premiere of ‘Summer Sixteen’ on OVO Sound Radio.

Heading right into the mix opening with Max B’s ‘I’m So High’, the ‘waves’ were already passing through the mix with a less than veiled reference to Wiz Khalifa and Kanyes earlier Twitter beef this week.

Drake was apparently “just setting the tone” with ‘Summer Sixteen’, dropping all kinds of quotables and of course setting Twitter into a Drizzy frenzy sending subliminal shots to rivals in the rap game “Now I got a bigger pool than ‘Ye, and ‘Ye’s pool is nice Mine is just bigger that’s all I’m saying” – and then came Jay – “I used to wanna be on Roc-A-Fella then I turned into Jay.”

Drake didn’t go into details about the album, but they’re all working hard to get ‘Views From The 6’ out by April, ‘Summer Sixteen’ is produced by Boi-Ida, Noah “40” Shebib and Cubeatz.

Also premiering a freestyle from Nas over Future’s ‘March Madness’, Roy Woods remix of Kodak Black’s ‘SKRT SKRT’ and his new collab ‘Work’ from Rihanna’s album ‘ANTi’ – the world tuned in on this one.

Summer Sixteen is on iTunes now.
