Fenty Clothing? Is Rihanna Set To Sell Garms And Accessories?

It seems like the Badgal Riri is in talks to market her runway-fresh drip with her own luxury brand. You may have peeped her newly registered “goods and services” trademark license circulating online recently. She was also recently caught sporting custom “Fenty” Chrome Gold sunglasses. Reportedly, these may be a prototype sample of her new fashion line.

We all know Fenty Beauty sales are unmatched, making over “$100 million dollars” weekly (not just thanks to my mum, sister and every other girl I know). Youtube is filled with Fenty Beauty reviews, reactions and challenges. It’s no doubt Rihanna will do numbers. She’s said to be working with creatives from both the Celine and Louis Vuitton houses.

The brand will potentially be under the renowned LVMH, led by billionaire Bernard Arnault. Soon Fenty will be on its way to that Billy. It will potentially make Rihanna the first black woman to create a clothing brand with LVMH (Moet Hennessy – Louis Vuitton) group.  Not just that, but she’s in good company. This brand, like Fenty Beauty will be amongst century-old family legacy labels. The French conglomerate LVMH, owned by the Arnault family, have majority shares in brands such as Dior, Kenzo, Fendi, Sephora and of course Louis Vuitton. What was once a smart investment in a small Parisian fashion-house is now the biggest group running all things luxury, along with Kering group (Gucci, Saint Laurent). Now add Ms. Fenty to the list and the fashion world is officially conquered.

Clearly, Rihanna’s influence on how women spend has given her the upper hand in the boardroom.  Her recent Fenty x Puma collaboration made staggering feats. She brought sportswear to Fashion Week and made 1 of 1 styles like the Puma Creeper and furry sliders a staple for girls. And who remembers her River Island line? Many magazines hail her as the best-dressed woman of our era and one of the most stylish of all time. She remains one the most innovative and experimental artists, as she always switches up her style with both luxury and upcoming designers.

This is sure to be a big money move for Rihanna. All we can ask now is which is coming first, the album or the clothing Rih?
