FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt Did Dab Jay-Z
Jay-Z has got it, from high school with Notorious B.I.G & Busta Rhymes in Brooklyn, to celebrating 1 millions subscribers on Tidal, it’s always been about that ‘Empire State of mind’ for Jay-Z.
Taking it all in his stride, as he headed from his interview and performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to the Barclays Centre for Tidal X Concert last night, Jay-Z had alot to celebrate. In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Jay talked about his early days growing up in Brooklyn, rap battles with Busta Rhymes, to becoming a sports agent and we even saw some throwback footage from his first ever tv appearance next to Big Daddy Kane.
Since his recent visit to the Samsung offices in Silicon Valley, rumours are rife that there may be acquisition talks going on for Tidal with Samsung although it’s more than likely a partnership deal, whatever the case, Jay-Z was confidently pitching Tidal as the ‘Juke Box’ in you pocket with better sound quality. All in all he looked to be in pretty good spirits, as he accompanied Jimmy Kimmel and the whole live audience to the Barclays Centre for the Tidal X concert.
Live streamed on Tidal, the concert was staged as a celebration for the 1 millions user milestone on Tidal with proceeds going to charity – of course all the big hitters were on stage with Jay-Z including Usher, Rick Ross, Nas, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and of course Beyonce to the bill. Twitter was all up in a frenzy over Jay-Z hitting the dab on stage with Rick Ross – check it out at 1.40 – that’s a dab alright!
Notably Usher and Nas made an appearance with Bibi Bourelly to perform Chains, the new track written to address the epidemic of racial injustice and police brutality in the U.S.
