Get A Taste Of ‘Bourbon’ From Gallant Feat Saba & Lophiile

Fresh from his NPR Tiny Desk session and opening up for John Legend on his “Darkness and Light” tour, American singer-songwriter Gallant hooked up with Chicago based rapper Saba and producer Lophiile (who produced Ray BLK’s ‘Patience’) to give us a magnificent remix of ‘Bourbon’.

The new re-fix of ‘Bourbon’ is a take on the original, which was on Gallant’s 2016 grammy-nominated debut album ‘Ology’. Gallant was even generous enough to give us the visuals for the ‘Bourbon’ remix so we could really indulge. Directed by Sasha Samsonova, we see Gallant soaring through some downtown LA cityscapes, while Saba delivers his verse in a dark room with an infer-red light.

If you’re wondering how this collaboration came about, you have the fans of Gallant to thank for that.

Saba performed a verse for the song during Gallant’s NPR Tiny Desk session. He said: “We only had a few days to put it together before performing it for the first time on NPR’s tiny desk. The performance got such a great response from the fans that we had to do an official release.”

The soul singer Gallant is set to tour with John Legend until the end of June, then he’s due to do some festivals over the summer. There’s no word of when he’ll be back doing a show in the UK but until then satisfy all your soul needs with the new remix of ‘Bourbon’.
