Get ‘Personal’ With Emotional Oranges

Securing the bag with Spotify in a new deal – Joe Budden, Mal & Rory were in full celebratory mode last week announcing their new home and an upgrade to two podcasts a week. As dedicated listeners to the podcast, we’ve been addictively tuned in on a weekly basis to the Joe Budden Podcast, which if you’re a self-proclaimed muzo digs into pretty much everything happening in music right now.

Wrapping up each week with their weekly ‘sleepers’ selection, I’m not gonna lie it’s become my go to (slap myself for missing it) on new music that despite our hundreds of emails and playlists – we’ve somehow missed. So full credit goes to the guys for putting this sleeper in the spotlight. L.A-based duo Emotional Oranges, made their debut earlier this year with ‘Motions’ and followed up in with their second single ‘Personal’ in early August. Cementing their sound as groove-infused R&B, imagine the late 90’s riff and rhythm of Lucy Pearl mixed up with The xx, and you’ll have a little hint of what to expect from the male/female combo of Emotional Oranges.

Apparently their debut EP is due sometime before the end of the year on new LA based label Avant Garden – but till then get up close and ‘Personal’ with Emotional Oranges.
