Ghetts Comes Back With The Belly On ‘Slumdog Millionaire’
Ghetts returns with the first single lifted from 2018’s ‘Ghetto Gospel: New Testament’.
‘Slumdog Millionaire’ offers up another look at what is to come when Ghetts’ fourth studio album drops next year. Produced by Nutty P ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ raises the levels for one of Grime’s most revered technicians as the beat’s strictly Grime foundation takes on well travelled Asian flourishes.
“This track really stood out to me because of the fusion between the grime beats and Asiatic music.” Ghetts explains of the single, “I’d not heard that done before and it excited me to experiment. Nutty P went in on this one! Having Stefflon Don lend her vocals for the hook topped the track off perfectly. Sonically it’s one of my favourites on the album so I’m really glad to be able to share this as the first new single and I can’t wait to start performing it live. My fans and supporters have been so patient while I’ve gone away and made this album so it feels good to finally put this out.”
A natural narrator, Ghetts tells the story of making it big from his latest motive. Stefflon Don is on hand to top the track as ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ follows up ‘Know My Ting’ – the main room stomper featuring Shakka.
