Hello, Adele Is On The Other Side
Oh she’s tried to make that relationship work since 18, 21 and now at 25, Adele has finally reconciled with herself “I’m making up with myself. making up for lost time. making up for everything I ever did and never did.”
‘Hello‘, the first single from Adele‘s forthcoming album, ‘25‘, is here, it’s available to stream or download and the video has also been unveiled, featuring a cameo by American actor Tristan Wilds (The Wire, The Secret Life of Bees). Suffice to say we came over with goosebumps the minute Adele’s vocal rose up.
Clear the schedules, because Adele is releasing ‘25,’ her highly anticipated new album, globally on Friday November 20th with her first new material since her Oscar winning single ‘Skyfall’ in 2012.
The sepia toned video was shot in mid-October in Montreal, and lensed by Cannes Jury Prize winning Canadian director Xavier Dolan (Mommy, Tom at the Farm). “When I first heard it, all the images were already running by so clearly in my head – and her trust and generosity allowed me to create freely.”
The Canadian director explained, “being on set with her was wonderful. And the thought of directing her in the ‘acting’ aspect of the term was exciting. I discovered that she’s a very talented actress – no matter what she’ll tell you.” Dolan further enthused about the collaboration by saying “It was a great experience. Adele allowed me to dive into this full throttle, so I could abandon myself artistically and emotionally, like she always does. It made me extremely proud.”
If there’s one thing we all wish for after heartbreak, it’s to get to the other side, the side when you’ve finally got closure to move on.
