Hot Off Breaking Records, Adele Announces Tour

It’s impossible not to find yourself smiling from cheek to cheek watching that rendition of ‘Hello’ performed by Adele together with The Roots and Jimmy Fallon with nothing more then a set of classroom instruments.

What’s also brought a smile to much of the music industry has been the record breaking numbers of ’25’, which has astonished the naysayers in music, media and tech who predicted the impending doom in music sales. If you needed more proof that in uncertain times nothing can be certain, this record has proved its worth in more ways than one. With a much needed injection of real value into the music market, Adele has broken every record, taking back any claims that there could be no point of return from music streaming. With the decision not to allow the album to be streamed on any of the on-demand music services, the phenomenal opening week numbers are nothing short of astonishing.

According to the Official Charts, sales in the U.K of ’25’ have already hit 737,000 flying past Oasis’s opening week sales of 696,000 with ‘Be Here Now’ in 1997. In the U.S, Adele is on her way to hitting an all time high of 3 millions sales, having already demolished the all-time week one album sales record so far.

Now Adele has announced a set of the UK and European dates in early 2016, her first tour in 4 years. Advance sale tickets for all UK dates will be exclusively available to members of ADELE.COM in the UK & Europe from 9.00am GMT on Tuesday 1st December. UK tickets on General Sale will be available from 9.00am GMT on Friday 4th December. All info will be on ADELE.COM
