I Feel Like A No.1 Pablo

TLOP First No.1 Streaming Only Album

According to HDD, Kanye West is now officially the first artist to have a No.1 album based on mainly streaming numbers and that’s after the album ran as an exclusive on Tidal since it’s release on the 13th of Feb.

The 94,000 sales tallied in the U.S of The Life of Pablo included streaming numbers from Apple Music, Spotify and Tidal.

In terms of what those numbers actually mean Billboard gives a breakdown between traditional album sales,  track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA) –  ‘Its 66,000 SEA units equates to just over 99 million U.S. streams for the album’s tracks in the week ending April 7.
