Issa Goal: Nigeria World Cup Collection Sold-Out In 10 Minutes

The 2018 Nigerian National Team collection, designed by Nike, launches today. The collection has been specially made for Naija’s “Super Eagles”, in preparation for their World Cup. As expected, the fire team jersey sold out within ten minutes of being released today.

Nike recruited the all-star squad of Nigerian talent from Alexander Iwobi, Not3s to Starboy Wizkid and Beats 1 Radio’s Julie Adenuga.

Amongst the collection are fitted travel tracksuits, black air maxes, bucket hats, side-bags and the highly-coveted football jersey. The styles incorporate the evergreen prosperity of Nigerian soil, with a green on black drop. On items like the pre-match top, streaks of jagged feather graphics have been used – incidentally symbolising raw speed. The fits all in all are an ode to the Naija youth, at home and in the diaspora.

It goes without saying Nigeria has been scoring points for the culture, home and away. From the rise of the dance phenomenon Shaku Shaku, to the recent success of London’s AfroRepublik festival. Nigeria has especially been making waves on the fashion Front, with the recent re-launch of Arise Fashion Week, which brought the whole world back home. Ozwald Boateng and Naomi Campbell were amongst the veterans who co-signed the event in Lagos.

Naira Marley predicted it right, Issa goal and win for Nigeria, even before the tournament begins.
