Nowadays, musicians are being more integrated, whether it’s self-producing, video directing, or branding their own visuals, musicians are taking a more 360 approach to their craft, and rightfully so.
South London’s Kadiata shares this immersive creativity in his craft, and his latest video for his track ‘dumb’ proves that.
Kadiata released ‘dumb’ back at the end of February, throwing his unapologetically moody and authentic slightly trap and hip-hop sound into our ears. In the self-produced/written/performed/directed/edited visuals, Kadiata kicks off themes of gentrification, starting with an upside down image of David Cameron, before cutting to shots in his local area, cutting in images of council blocks burning down.
While ‘dumb’ is the first visual offering since Kadiata dropped his blue soaked visuals to ‘goodnight’ last year, it’s clear that Kadiata can do whatever he wants to do – musically or visually. Check out Kadiata’s visual two finger salute to gentrification above – are you dumb?
