KYLE Plays ‘iSpy’ with Lil Yachty

For the last few years KYLE has been bubbling away in the hip-hop scene, bagging some serious collaborations alongside fellow California natives Kehlani and G-Eazy as well as the current king of Chicago, Chance The Rapper. His last two mixtapes 2013’s ‘Beautiful Loser’ and 2015’s ‘SMYLE’ were widely acclaimed however his most recent release ‘iSPY’ alongside the Lil’ Boat, Lil’ Yachty has now firmly put his name on the map and causing waves across the scene.

Hotly tipped as one of this year’s next big artists KYLE’s fusion of Hip-Hop, R&B and Dance has always meant that he can cross over genre’s and appeal to a wider audience and his use of both rapping and singing was always destined to achieve huge radio play. It’s actually a surprise to me that it hasn’t come sooner. Tracks like ‘Just A Picture’ and ‘Doubt It’ are some of the catchiest tunes I’ve heard in a long time.

But teaming up with Lil’ Yachty for ‘iSPY’ was a serious power play. Lil’ Yachty’s style compliments the light hearted summer track perfectly so it’s no surprise that it’s since hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs Chart, dethroning Migos ‘Bad and Boujee’, #4 on the hot 100 and has been streamed over 200 million times… yep, take that all in.

With backing from radio stations globally and hotly tipped for the XXL Freshman Class of 2017, I spy big things coming for KYLE in the near future.
