Lovebox Adds Sampha, Solange To LineUp of Frank Ocean, Jamie XX & More

As things turn milder and the festival season continues to creep ever closer, Lovebox Festival have just caused a fresh wave of excitement with the release of yet more names to their 2017 line-up. A mix of everything from Techno to R’n’B, Lovebox is out to show there’s strength in diversity.

The Lovebox Festival 2017 line-up might just be their most ambitious yet. With Frank Ocean set to headline Friday, it will no doubt be a first chance for many to hear tracks from ‘Blonde’ performed live. Opening for Frank Ocean on Friday’s main stage will be Jamie XX, a producer whose been solidly in demand since his debut album ‘In Colour’ dropped in 2015. Now back with The XX with a new album and fresh material these are two sets no one will want to skip.

Not ones to be shy with statement bookings, organisers at Lovebox have also secured Solange Knowles for the Noisey Music stage alongside London’s own Sampha. Rag ’n’ Bone Man, Mick Jenkins and Kaytranada are all also set to appear in what is shaping up to be a weekend of unmissable live music.

Staying closer to their electro roots, Lovebox organisers have enlisted Fabric to bring the noise with Seth Troxler Friday’s other headline name bringing his trademark Tech / House Sound to London.

It’s not just the bookings that have been upgraded though, this year’s Lovebox Festival will also see a raft of changes to staging pyro show’s are being lined up throughout the day and the brand new Transistor stage that will be headed by none other than underground House imprint  Abode.

Saturday, sees Chase N Status return for another headline slot with their fourth album due this year, it’s safe to say their headline set will have a few surprise guests involved. Annie Mac and Jess Glynne will also be performing and the Noisey Stage sees D’n’B heavyweight Andy C headlining there.

If you didn’t manage to get your hands on the recently released New Gen album you can be sure to catch the freshest homegrown talent on the West stage where XL Recordings have lined up a one off showcase.
