Nao Enlists Ashley Walters To Battle Himself In ‘Fool To Love’ Video
Quite easily one of the most contagious tunes of this year, Nao’s ‘Fool To Love’ has finally got a visual treatment featuring Ashley Walters in a struggle against an invisible force.
The visuals for Nao’s ‘Fool To Love’ are set to have heads spinning and the video theorists among us debating what it’s about. The slick, Ollie Wolfe directed visuals feature the UK’s ‘Top Boy’ Ashley Walters, thrown across the room, attacked and general tormented. However the force tormenting him is invisible. While people debated what the video was about, ideas were being thrown around (no pun intended there) from Ashely Walters being tormented by an ex lover (my fav) or that he was possessed by a spirit. However, crushing rumours and theory, Nao personally took to the Youtube comments to help make sense of the video.
She wrote: “To help make sense of this video I thought I might explain it’s a song I wrote to myself and my self-doubt, not a song to a lover. I was a fool to listen to that voice in my head that held me back. I’m my own worst enemy sometimes and that’s the theme that Ashley took on so well x”
Sometimes the only one holding you back is yourself.
