Schoolboy Q Paints A Blank Face On ‘Groovy Tony’
They say good things take time right? Well while we’re always eagerly awaiting more newness from the TDE camp, the latest comes in the groovy form of TDE’s Schoolboy Q.
The last we heard from Schoolboy Q was in 2014 on his debut studio album, ‘Oxymoron‘. Now the TDE member has *finally* released some new material, ‘Groovy Tony’ is lifted from his up and coming, yet to be titled project.
After teasing the TaeBeast produced track back in January, Schoolboy Q is staying quiet no longer. ‘Groovy Tony’ is this dark street beat, which has Q rapping: “Sell narcotics and step my dollars up to Bill Gates. Push all limits, you lookin’ timid, need to back off”. In the Jack Begert and the Little Homies directed visuals, Schoolboy Q channels his inner Pretty Tony from the 1973 blaxploitation classic, ‘The Mack‘.
While a title for his up and coming LP is still pending, for now, get lost in the world of Groovy Q’s ‘Groovy Tony’.
