He’s one of the most influential UK artists, but he is touring the UK for the very first time in November. The ruler is finally coming home to the UK after inspiring and influencing the entire rap game.

Due to a 23 year battle with the US immigration bureau Slick Rick was unable to leave the US. The battle was over after finally being granted US citizenship, Rick is now free to move like any other US artist.

Originally from Mitcham, Croydon, Slick Rick was one of the first artists signed to Def Jam records back in 86′. His break out singles live on today, “La Di Da Di” is the most sampled hip hop track ever, having been sampled over 615 times. “The Show” has also been sampled over 96 times.

Four albums later Rick’s unique style of rap has influenced every one from Jay Z, Ghostface Killah, Nas, to Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, and J Cole.
