Taylor Bennett Gets Smooth Over ‘Straight From The Bottom’

Taylor Bennett ups the levels for his XXL Freshman Class cover campaign, with latest smooth single, ‘Straight From The Bottom’.

If you’re not acquainted with the sounds of Chicago’s Taylor Bennett – then check out our Next Up feature with him here. Taylor Bennett released his entirely free from samples, project ‘Broad Shoulders’ back in December last year, which included the titular track, ‘Broad Shoulders’, which was a feature with his (slightly) older brother, Chance The Rapper. But that’s not to say Taylor Bennett has been riding off his brother, Chancellor Bennett aka Chano’s fame.

‘Straight From The Bottom’ sees Taylor performing his glide-like raps over a smooth loop of piano keys throughout the CeoBeatz produced tune.  Taylor discredits all the haters, over the hook he raps about not needing Chano to make it to the “front lines”.

It’s been a busy time for Taylor since the release of ‘Broad Shoulders’, with shows at SXSW and now the potential XXL Freshman cover – it looks like 2016 is going to be the time people take note of Taylor Bennett.
