The Streets Return To The Stage With Force

Returning after a seven year hiatus, The Streets hit a sold-out run of live dates.

The Streets landed in London for the closing leg of their UK comeback tour, lifting nothing but hits from their extensive vault of five albums. The last few months have seen Mike Skinner returning to the forefront in a major way dropping five new tracks in the process. There’s a new album in the works that much we know for sure and rumour has it the album will serve as a soundtrack for an upcoming film Skinner’s also working on.

Mike Skinner also announced The Streets will also head out on another UK tour in early 2019. The eleven new shows will kick off in Birmingham on 18th January 2019, and close again with three more London O2 Brixton Academy appearances. Tickets will go on sale on 4th May 2018.

The news comes fresh off the back of their recent 12 city sold-out The Darker The Shadow The Brighter The Light tour, where Eric Aydin-Baberini played our eyes and ears on one of the sold-out nights at the 02 Brixton Academy. Capturing the return of The Streets to South London, high energy and waves of nostalgia made this night a triumphant return to form. Expectations about the upcoming album and film will no doubt have been raised for fans of their music.
