The Top 5 Metro Boomin Tracks
21 year old Metro Boomin is one of the leading Hip-Hop producers right now, helping the likes of Future, Young Thug, & Travi$ Scott make the most hyped energetic music.
He originally started producing when he was 13 just so he could rap on his own instrumentals. With all the artists Metro works with you’d think he was born in Atlanta! Wrong he is actually from St Louis Missouri.
Metro Boomin helped Travi$ Scott find his lane
Recently he was an opening act on the Travi$ Scott ‘Rodeo Tour’, as well as dj’ing for Young Thug who was also on the tour. This autumn he is on tour with Chance The Rapper.
Future – Karate Chop
Karate Chop for me was the first track Metro Boomin produced that I had heard, easily one of the biggest trap songs around at the time in terms of the synths being used and the heavy bass in the instrumental, Future’s vocals were like the icing on the cake.
Future – Monster (w/ 808 Mafia)
Monster for me is the track that introduced me to the new production style from 808 Mafia & Metro Boomin. The distorted 808’s, the melody & Future’s vocals put together gives me goosebumps whenever I hear it at a venue.
YG – 1AM
This instrumental was a complete switch up to what we are used to from Metro. A real dark and gritty boom bap esque production. This is an instrumental I would have never thought to have heard YG on……EVER. This showed how diverse Metro’s production can be.
Travi$ Scott (Ft. Young Thug) – Skyfall
For me I think Metro Boomin helped Travi$ Scott find his lane, Skyfall being the standout of the ‘Days Before Rodeo’ album/mixtape was very dark & perfect for Travi$ to lay his vocals on and really get in the zone.
Metro Thuggin – Warrior
Warrior is one of the most aggressive Metro Boomin tracks, undoubtably the standout track from the Metro Thuggin project. A lot of energy, Thugga’s high pitched signature vocals with Metro Boomin production is just the perfect combination. It doesn’t get better than that.
