Summer might be over but there’s still music in the air to give you that summer feeling. Tiggs Da Author has linked up with Yungen to create ‘Swear Down’. A upbeat song that will have you doing a solo 2-step during your commute.
The video holds on to the fleeting sunlight we rarely experience in London and produces a visual that keeps up with the tempo of the song. Tiggs flows on the track with a Motown bounce while Yungen starts off the track with a verse filled with slick lines. The temperature may be dropping but songs like this are let us hang on to the idea that that summer sunshine can last a little longer. No doubt this will last long into next year’s BBQ playlist.
Tiggs says on the making of the video, “It was really hot, sunny day and when London is like that there is just such a powerful energy and I feel we managed to show that in the video. I just wanted everyone to vibe out and have fun and thats what we did. We had a big party in Portobello road in a friends apartment and I invited lots of people down. Was a wicked atmosphere.”
London has its ups and down and Tiggs brings his personal experience into living that life in the city, “The track is about my life as a teenager, growing up in London, trying to work out which paths to take in life. It can be hard to stay true to who you are and not give in to peer pressure. Its about trying to find love but looking in the wrong places and its about making mistakes but learning from them. It has a real Summer vibe and I love that the video incaptures that element of the song.”
Catch Tiggs live in his London headline show on 18th October at The Camden Assembly.
