Toulouse Looks To ‘Reach Out’ In Lush New Visual

Acclaimed musician Toulouse returns with a story about dysfunctional love in his latest visual.

Self taught Nigerian born musician Toulouse has been carving out his own lane in music from the jump. Having secured his place at the renowned Clive Davis Institution at NYU with an application process that included singing over the phone to the acceptance committee; Toulouse later found his music being used on the soundtrack for the infamous ’50 Shades Darker’ screen adaption of the ’50 Shades Of Grey’ book trilogy.

His latest work, ‘Reach Out’ is a ballad about a love that’s no good, “The song Reach Out is about loving a dysfunctional and prodigal person even as they run from you.” Toulouse says of the concept for the new track. “For the video, the camera turns inwards and frames the story  as if I was the dysfunctional subject and what it looks like to lose, runaway from and eventually find myself. We often are our own worst enemies and with the help of Jean-Claude, we were able to depict a more graceful sensibility of that exploration using movement and set against one of the most beautiful places I have ever beheld – Vancouver, Canada.”

With blushing coral colours and Japanese inspired overtones Toulouse continues to go his own route, telling the stories he loves.
