Watch Five New Flavourz

Take a shot at these five videos from Eugy, Mabel, Taya, P Montana & Chris Brown.

It’s the week before the final summer bank holiday and while meteorological anomalies may be leaving you with mixed emotions, there’s nothing but heat rising off these artists. With temperatures rising over their fresh new visuals, these five new videos are ones to watch.

EUGY – ‘CAPTAIN’ FEAT SIZA

The third single from Eugy’s ‘Flavourz’ EP is already cruising at break neck speed since the video dropped over the weekend. ‘Captain’ has started catching some serious waves, including applause from a certain Chris Brown on Twitter. Eugy x Siza team up on an excellent collaboration proving yet again that Team Salut, the production trio behind ‘Captain’, are racking up an impressive track record of working with rising artists. Make no mistake, Eugy and Siza know exactly how to bring the heat, we’ve seen them performing ‘Captain’ live at the Nation of Billions #AfroNation party at BoxPark earlier this year.

MABEL – ‘FINDERS KEEPERS’ FT KOJO FUNDS

Mabel premiered the new video to her latest single ‘Finders Keepers’ featuring Kojo Funds, together with a new remix with added verses from Burna Boy and Don-E. A sleek R&B single with a light touch of Afrobeats, ‘Finders Keepers’ is one of the highlights from her recent ‘Bedroom EP’.

TAYA – ‘WHEN UR SOBER’ FT YXNG BANE

Liverpool born singer Tayá has revealed the date for her debut EP accompanied by the new video for ‘When Ur Sober’ featuring Yxng Bane. Sober addresses those all too familiar commitment issues. “I think pretty much everyone can relate to going through a rocky patch in a relationship, and finding themselves needing reassurance, but not getting it.” The 18-year old has already been collaborating with producers both in the UK and Stateside and is set to drop her self-titled album on Sept 1.

P MONTANA- ‘SINCE THEN’ FT SONA X BASEMAN

Dropping his new mixtape ‘Rah Boy’ last Friday, P Montana released the first visual from the project with the single ‘Since Then’ over the weekend. The UK AfroBeats selector has been breaking artists on the airwaves via his weekly Radar Radio show for some time now, and since then the Uk Afrobeats/AfroBashment scene has grown from strength to strength. As one of the rising tastemakers, ‘Rah Boy’ is a worthy showcase of a next generation of rising talent.

CHRIS BROWN – QUESTIONS

‘Questions’ is the first single from Brown’s forthcoming album ‘Heartbreak On A Full Moon’, and takes a big bite out of Kevin Little’s smash single ‘Turn Me On’. Trending with a tightly choreographed neon lit video, the single is a dancehall tinged dance-off number, produced by Christopher Dotson and A1 Bentley.

Back in the headlines, Chris Brown seems to be all about answering lingering questions almost a decade after that night with Rihanna in a teaser from his documentary ‘Welcome To My Life’. It’s raised yet more questions around the issue of responsibility and restraint from various domestic violence support groups and while Chris is candid about his reasons, his reaction has been perceived as an example of ‘victim-blaming’.
