Tom Misch Dances In His Reverie

I don’t know about you, but it’s inevitable that a new league of British artists are on the horizon, rewriting the rules of the game, all while gathering a worldwide fanbase without a label hand in sight from the start.

Tom Misch is one in a new league, he’s been steadily releasing music independently, building a solid fanbase on SoundCloud, rated by peers like Kaytranada, GoldLink and been picked up by the likes of Joe Kay of Soulection and Majestic Casual. Now with the release of his new single ‘Watch Me Dance’, Tom adds another chord to his progression; “The reverie EP is a result of me wanting to take slightly more of a role as a songwriter and singer. It’s the first release I sing on every track and hopefully indicates the direction I want to go for my debut album.

With the soul of an old-skool beat maker and the skills of a future forward producer, the 21 year old South East Londoner’s versatility as a composer, songwriter, guitarist, singer and violinist, while crafting Dilla inspired beats and mellow grooves, all make for just damn good music.  ‘Watch Me Dance’ is sensitively sung, as it slowly builds to a reverie of dance and groove in a heavenly arranged two step number.

‘Reverie’ the 4 track EP features guests Loyle Carner and Laura Misch, and is due out on 15th July on Tom’s own label Beyond The Groove. Till then groove with Tom on ‘Watch Me Dance’ below;
