With A Little ‘Patience’ Ray BLK Is Certainly Winning
Last year, we celebrated International Women’s day, by asking five of our fav singers to pick an empowering song for our #IWD2016 playlist. One of our very own ones to watch in 2016, Ray BLK contributed her own selection, and one day before #IWD2017, we got graced with some sound advise with her new video for ‘Patience’.
It’s been amazing to witness the rise and rise of Ray BLK and she’s definitely proved that slow and steady does indeed win the race. Crowned at the top of the year in BBC’s Sound of 2017, and pretty much landing in all the ‘Ones To Watch for 2017’, Ray has been raising her game consistently.
The sublime Ray BLK, gives us the real with a little ‘Patience’ in her new visual directed by Hector Duckbill and set in a hair salon in Peckham. Ray tells us “We wanted to do something natural, something everyday that people could relate to – a conversation in the hair salon. I wanted it to feel like I’m talking to whoever is watching so they really hear the message’.
