Wretch 32 Masters ‘Growing Over Life’

At the close of 2015, Wretch 32 paired up with his protege Avelino and released ‘Young Fire Old Flame’. This body of work shocked the game and brought the focus back to how lyrically awesome Wretch32 is.

We all knew he was special, but those songs had musical elements and carried strong messages that captured peoples attention and led to 2 sold out shows.

You can tell Wretch 32 has been working up to something but it’s taken some time since his ‘Black and White’ album in 2011. After multiple feature appearances and what could be considered as the best ‘Fire In the Booth’ ever, one of the best rappers the UK has to offer has presented us with a gift in album form. ‘Growing Over Life’ is an intriguing title, and the cover art is designed with photography from Robin Bharaj showing three hands belonging to Wretch32, his son and his daughter. It’s fair to presume that this album will be his most personal to date. With features from Emeli Sande, Avelino and Know Brown, ‘Growing Over Life’ demands your attention, your ears and an open mind.
